Anti-virus software reports boot sector virus during Safecode Defencecure setup

When installing Safecode Defencecure on a PC with an active antivirus program, you are prompted with a warning message: a virus is attempting to infect your boot sector or master boot record (MBR). As a result, the setup process is interrupted.

Safecode Defencecure setup needs to modify the computer’s MBR during setup. This is because some antivirus programs mistake it for a boot sector virus.

Disable your antivirus software before installing Safecode Defencecure and re-enable it after the setup is completed. Some anti-virus software has the option to allow modification of the MBR. In this case, select Yes (to allow the change to the MBR) to continue the setup.
